Gabi and her assistant were friendly and professional, but the home inspection was not worth the insane $700 price tag. It was not as thorough as I have had from other companies in the past and most of the items noted in the report were things I could have found with my own two eyes.

The largest items in the house (heat, AC and plumbing) were not checked in the first visit and I was given excuses instead of insight on how to get the items properly inspected. I left the inspection with more questions than answers. The report was also not submitted to me promptly, which gave me less time to review before my contractual deadline. I had to reach out to corporate to get the report sent to me.

Before leaving this review, I reached out to the district manager with very detailed feedback and he just gave me a generic reply.

If you're making a big investment in real estate, I strongly advise you to do your homework before hiring Pillar to Post. High price does not always mean high quality.

Reason of review: Bad quality.

Monetary Loss: $700.

Preferred solution: Price reduction.

Pillar To Post Cons: Price, Poor or not inspected properly, Turn around time, Quality.

Location: Cape May County, New Jersey

Most of these people have no qualifications to be going out to peoples houses and doing any kind of inspections and they have no certification for the most part.

Never forget when a real estate agent suggest that you use a particular Home Inspector stay far away from them. More than likely your real estate agent is in bed with that particular Home Inspector because she or he knows that that Home Inspector will not cause any problems that will cause a real estate transaction to go south.

They don't want smart informative home inspectors to come out to the house because they know it will cause problems and they might lose their commissions so they search for Home Inspector's that do not go into great detail because they don't want to lose their commissions and fees .

In short if your agent suggest to you a particular Home Inspector she's trying to control the deal do your own homework and you personally select a home inspector that knows how to inspect homes and has the proper tools such as the following equipment

Inches of water column meter. It's a device that measures pressure of LP gas and natural gas if you have either one of those systems in your house.

A thermal imaging scanner to detect any difference in temperatures of your heat or your AC leaking to the outside of your house. An amp meter This device is used to let you know that eight air conditioning unit or any other major electrical appliance is operating with in the specifications of the manufacture as far as electricity load. A water pressure gauge to make sure that the proper water pressure is coming into your house A set of AC gauges to make sure that your air-conditioner has the proper amount of Freon in the air conditioner to work at its efficiency without burning extra electricity that's not needed because the device is not working properly maybe because it has too much Freon or not enough Freon in the system Make sure that they show you their equipment and if they only come with the plastic toolbox from Walmart refuse to let them in your house because they will close you a great deal of trouble Ask them for their certifications and qualification documentation If they refuse and they are the buyers home inspector do not let them in your house If a real estate agent tells you to use a particular Home Inspector you are going to soon be a victim Remember real estate agents only care about their commissions and they want to quick fast clothes so they can get their money and run to the next potential victim When Home Inspector comes to your house to do an inspection at the request of a buyer asked for the qualifications and remember you have the right to refuse that particular inspector to coming to your house if they show you any disrespect or show you any kind of negative attitude you have the right to tell them to *** one Think of me as a Home Inspector's worst nightmare coming to life Never be too quick to trust the Home Inspector because all they're looking for is a quick cash and jet to the next victim a decent size house should take a minimum of five hours to do a complete and thorough inspection They should checked the water system to make sure no leaks and water pressure And when they check for leaks in the water system they should go up into the attic where the water is flowing and why water is turned off to make sure that there's no leaks and they should do this with a pressure meter attached to the water system and do a leak down check to make sure that when they turn the water off the pressure does not drop Checking the toilet system to make sure all toilet float valve operate the way they are supposed to The electrical system Yeah operation of all appliances including the air-conditioner Or Air conditioners Physical structure of the outside Operation of pool equipment if you have a pool Checking windows for leaks checking windows for screens if the windows do open Checking the roof to make sure the roof is intact and no damage the tiles or shingles Checking to make sure all doors locked with the keys Checking The Internet connections to at the house as well as checking the cable system to make sure that it is all intact grabbing a pair of pliers and walking from room to room and lifting up the carpet from the tech strips to make sure that there's no cracks in the foundation of the slide of the carpet is laying on top of it does not do any damage to grab a pair pliers and lift the carpet I have to look and see what's underneath Most home inspectors will not do that because they do not want to cause any problems for the real estate agent that referred them to be the ones to inspect the house for the buyers Before the home inspector comes into your house asking to show you his tools of trade and documentation as for certifications and qualifications if he refuses tell him to *** one Never forget you have the right to refuse anyone to come into your house that you're selling

Are you for real? Check the internet connection, that's service provider specific and if you are concerned should be discussed with the owner or agent.

Lift up carpet! Why don't we just start ripping down dry wall to see whats behind it.

Who is going to pay for repairs after this destructive inspection is complete? I can understand you would like to know how the entire house was constructed but no inspector is going to potentially damage anything to see what is hidden, your expectations are a little off my friend!
