Do not hire Pillar To Post inspectors if you're going to buy a home they are a total rip off especially if they're from the Ebensburg PA area. They don't go up on your roof where a lot of problems when you buy a house or they say they're checking for stuff and they just look at it and they have one of those little guns no you're supposed to look at everything and move things don't pay hundreds and hundreds of dollars for something that a 12-year-old could probably do better and I have the proof I got ripped off.
User's recommendation: DON'T hire any inspector from them.

Absolutely Disappointing - They Completely Failed at Their Job
I cannot express enough how incredibly dissatisfied I am with the service I received from Pillar to Post. I specifically chose the most expensive inspection package, thinking I would receive the best service.
However, after the inspection, the owner, Matthew Parcel, told me directly that there was no difference between the cheapest and the most expensive options ($1,000). This was just one example of how they take advantage of customers.
I also paid extra on top of the $1,000 for a water test, and yet they still failed to follow basic instructions. The test instructions clearly stated not to take a sample from a swivel faucet (kitchen sink), but they did so anyway, which could result in a false positive for bacteria.
The lack of professionalism and attention to detail is beyond frustrating. I trusted this company to help me make informed decisions about my home, but instead, they caused me more stress, confusion, and a costly situation that could have been easily avoided.
I strongly advise against using Pillar to Post unless you want your property treated with complete disregard.
Theyve demonstrated a complete lack of competence, and I wont be recommending them to anyone.
It's hard to believe a company that claims to be professional could be so careless. In the end, I had to inspect the house myself, feeling like Id been robbed of my money due to their negligence and lack of professionalism.
- Will do a horrible job for alot of money
Preferred solution: Full refund
User's recommendation: Whatever you do, do not use.

Since my inspection with Pillar to Post, Patrick Eades, I have found termites and a leak in the ceiling that it appears the previous owner spray painted to cover it up, and Patrick does not mention it in his inspection report. I have called and not received a call back. Pillar to Post needs to be taken to court to help pay for damages.
- Patrick eades down to know what he is doing
Preferred solution: Pay for the damages
User's recommendation: Please find someone else to do home inspection.
Bad customer service after being the worse inspectors in Mobile.

So we were first time home buyers and didn't have a clue what to look at to know if we had a plumbing problem. We were like yeah we need an inspector to inspect our new home.
We received a list of home inspectors and just so happened to land on pillar to post. So they inspected our first home and did us great injustice. I will have the pictures from the 360 live video they gave us attached. One hour after we finalized the purchase of our new home we proceeded to go home and start cleaning.
My fiancée and I was walking in our bedroom and I happened to step on the floor and water started bubbling from between the floor planks. I grabbed my phone and called our realtor who advised me that Alabama is an as-is-state and the papers were signed and if I looked on the inspection video I could see that it might have been covered by a rug. I watched the video and proceeded to call the inspector because clear as day you can see the dark spot right outside the bathroom. We are first time home buyers, but the inspector has been doing this for over 30 years.
So I have made several tries at contacting him to no avail. But we had to remodel the master bathroom and still haven't been able to fix the master bedrooms floor. Oh, but it gets better we get to the kitchen where the kitchen sink has to replaced do to leakage that ruined the cabinets. Oh!
And let's not forget the septic tank had to be pumped out. I'm sorry, but a good inspector would've caught one of the issues.
I would never use this place again, and I hope you take my advice when I say I totally DO NOT RECOMMEND this company. We all have off days and make mistakes but the customer service I received after the mistakes were made is where I base my opinion and recommendation to others from.
User's recommendation: Find another inspector. More qualified.

Why would anyone expect a decent review from a company called pissedconsumer? Hardly anyone takes the time to give a review unless they are pissed!
Lol
I worked with them and had a wonderful experience. Demonstrated knowledge, thoroughness and followed through.
No complaints. Not to mention fair pricing for the almost 4 hours they were there.
User's recommendation: We are about to sell our 2nd property and were looking up contact info when I saw this site and was curious.
Recently used this home inspector
Inspector did not check any windows in a hurricane susceptible home. Provided the incorrect address on report causing insurance and closing issues.
Missed rotten fence. Missed a roof leak. Missed cracked tile. Pillar to post would not respond for 2 months after the inspection.
I requested a refund, but they would only refund 1/3rd of their deluxe price despite their failures. There are plenty of other inspectors in north Florida, pick one of them and let this trash company burn.
User's recommendation: Stay away!

Verified ReviewerTerrible company
Terrible company. Their HVAC inspections were a total fraud and they measured the delta T after just switching on the AC systems for 5 minutes.
They are deal killers. They said there was mold in the house from a small stain in the ceiling which was caused by a minor leak. They stated there was a small pin hole in the garage that could potentially allow exhaust smoke into the home, creating a major hazard. They were totally unqualified.
Emily Harden was the inspector and she was an absolute nightmare of a person.
She claimed that a bush in the backyard was a hazard and that the deck, which was slightly stained, was deteriorating. Just a mess.
Preferred solution: A rejected home inspection
User's recommendation: Stay Clear
Entire back of house rotted
Even though the patio door molding was rotted, no further inspection or recommendations to further inspect was noted. When I was getting door replaced it was found that most of the sheathing and large portions of the supporting beams were rotted. Cost me over $25,000 to repair.
User's recommendation: Stay away
Terrible service
I just bought a house which they did inspection. In their report, they just report a cosmetic damages which i could see with my own eyes and I paid them 600$ for no reason.
One month after leaving in this house, all gutters are leaking, sewer drain is blocked, there is water leak in basement !?
And what the heck was that tip option for? Just dont waste ur money and take your time and do it urself.

Verified ReviewerNot the honest inspector
After we bought the house, roof started leaking, the rooms were re-painted to hide the leaking problems. Once they started soaking through it was obvious the roof is the problem.
Roofing contractor mentioned that the roof is in pretty bad shape, that the inspector SHOULD have easily noticed problems and notify us, yet nothing was done, photos don't even include all roof areas. they never crawled in to other parts of the roof where the major leakage was.
Never identified about termites problem, turned out we had termites as well. The previous owner was not honest and if inspector did their job well this would not cost us a lot of money.
User's recommendation: Never use your agent's "recommended" inspector.
We paid them for a premium inspection on the house that we were wanting to buy and he said that he saw nothing to worry about and now we need 40,000 to fix our chimney, mold, and leaking basement
Our inspector is a liar and told me when I contacted him about the issues was that it wasnt raining that day so he was not able to detect moisture. Thats a lie.
Mold had been and is growing on the basement ceilings water proofing company said it was going for a while and that they use same kind of moisture detector. We dont have 40,000 grand to do this job.
User's recommendation: Don’t hire this company

Verified Reviewer |Dissatisfied with Service Provided
Inspector missed quite a few concerning defects/issues/etc. that could have been addressed/corrected by seller, but that opportunity was lost since and we did not notice until after we bought and moved in.
Owner came over to view missed items.
Was not happy with his response. I called customer service but have not received a response as of yet.
The pic below is of the sill that is dipping.
The inspector missed it and the owner said, "We're not engineers!" I know they're not, but it still should have been part of the report so it could be addressed with the seller. So many things they missed!
Preferred solution: Refund of the inspection fee plus compensation for the missed items that I am now responsible for - items that should have been handled by the seller. Too many items to list here
User's recommendation: Go through the house with the inspector and don't be afraid to point out issues of concern.
